Industries & Common Challenges

The situations that bring programs to Core-Tech

Automotive & Commercial Vehicles

A supplier exits a program, or a tool needs to move fast without losing PPAP status or line supply.

Medical Technology

A new device needs manufacturable part design, tooling, and production under documented quality control.

Agriculture & Off-Highway

Long-running composite or molded components need a stable, multi-year production partner.

Powersport & Low-Volume Vehicles

Limited-production platforms need design-to-production support that high-volume suppliers won’t take on.

Industrial & Construction Equipment

Legacy or service parts sit on aging tooling that needs inspection, repair, and a documented transfer path.

Automotive — Glass Overmolding

Challenge
A Tier-1 supplier needed to exit an aftermarket glass-overmolding program without disrupting supply — 21 molds, an active PPAP history, and an assembly step all had to move to a new home.
Core-Tech's Response
Core-Tech took hand-over of all 21 molds, completed mold repair and process optimization for smaller batch sizes, ran PPAP, and brought the 5-part assembly step in-house alongside packaging and storage.
Result
The program has continued in production at Core-Tech, with roughly 15,000 service parts supplied to date.
Feasibility & DesignInjection MoldingTooling

Medical Technology

Challenge
A medical equipment program needed a manufacturing partner from concept — feasibility, part design, and tooling all still open — for a chair assembly built from multiple molded components.
Core-Tech's Response
Core-Tech ran the feasibility study and manufacturability consulting, developed the plastic parts, and built all injection molding tools and gauges for a total of 12 components.
Result
Approximately 20,000 injection-molded parts produced to date across the 12-part set.
Aluminum & Iron CastingSerial Production

Precision Casting — Commercial Vehicles

Challenge
A commercial-vehicle components program needed a reliable, ongoing supply of cast iron, ductile iron, and aluminum parts — brackets, covers, and rod/bar components — at steady monthly volume.
Core-Tech's Response
Core-Tech Europe manages sourcing, logistics, and stock for the program, coordinating directly with its casting supply chain.
Result
Running production of approximately 500–1,500 units per month across the part family.

Agriculture — Composites

Challenge
A large agricultural-equipment manufacturer needed a durable composite component supplied consistently over a program life measured in years, not quarters.
Core-Tech's Response
Core-Tech developed and built the RTM tooling and has produced the resin-transfer-molded component in-house ever since.
Result
A 15-year running program, producing approximately 1,000 components.
